アホ毛 (Aho-ge)

Konnichiwa!

I thought I'd give you a post today with a Japanese flavor~
New vocab to be covered here is "aho-ge" (アホ毛)
Literally meaning "idiot hair", it refers to the little sproing of hair found on many an anime character.
From Haruna of Is This a Zombie? to Rei of High School of the Dead, (characters from two series I translate~) it's easy to spot these little antennae of hair that defy gravity.
They give a certain buoyancy to the character, and as the name suggests, a kind of silly carefree quality too.

Anyway, this term came to mind recently, because I have seen it spring up in my own household!!

Aaaw, ちびアホ毛
Yep!
So that's the language lesson for the day.
Love it.

Until next time, Happy Idiot Hair~!
